Position Summary
We are seeking a commission-only Sales Representative to grow our client base across the Fort Lauderdale and Miami Metro market. You will work directly alongside our founder, learning a differentiated portfolio that most agencies simply cannot offer. You will sell retainer engagements, one-time project packages, and high-value founder development programs to local businesses, entrepreneurs, and executives.

What You Earn
This is a commission-only position. On average, representatives earn between 20% and 30% of paid revenue they secure, plus a monthly residual on active client accounts they bring in.
There is no cap. There is no ceiling. The more you close and retain, the more you earn.

Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Greater Broward and Miami-Dade — dining and nightlife venues, boutiques, professional services, entrepreneurs, startups, and executives ready to build something serious.
- Conduct market research to identify prospects, understand their business challenges, and qualify opportunities before outreach.
- Actively prospect via networking, social media, cold outreach, and community presence including events, expos, and trade shows.
- Set and conduct discovery meetings to assess client needs and present tailored solutions from our full service portfolio.
- Develop and deliver customized proposals and presentations — retainer packages, project engagements, and Founders & Leaders programs.
- Close deals, negotiate pricing within established parameters, and manage contract execution.
- Track all leads, pipeline activity, and client interactions using CRM tools — accurate records are non-negotiable.
- Collaborate with the founding team to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery handoff.
- Represent Saint-John Media Group at local business events, the South Florida Small Business Expo, and community engagements.
- Generate regular sales reports and pipeline updates.
- Stay current on South Florida market conditions, competitor positioning, and our evolving service portfolio.
- Support client retention through proactive relationship management.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of commission-based or commission-only sales experience within a service vertical — you have carried a bag and lived on what you closed.
- Minimum 1 year selling to small or mid-size businesses — you understand the SMB decision-maker, their budget reality, and how they buy.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering sales presentations — you have stood in front of a room or a screen and moved people to a decision.
- A genuine ability to read people, build trust quickly, and understand what drives human decisions — however that understanding was developed. Formal training is welcome. So is the school of life. We will know it when we hear it.
- Based in the Fort Lauderdale / Miami Metro area with reliable local presence.
Preferred — Nice to Have, Not Required
- Experience selling marketing, PR, creative, or professional services.
- Familiarity with the South Florida SMB market — you know this culture and this community.
- An existing local business network in Broward or Miami-Dade.
- Multilingual plus — Spanish and/or Portuguese.
- Comfort with CRM tools and pipeline reporting.

1–6
Commission-only. You work directly alongside our founder, learn the full portfolio, and develop the approach that makes our offering genuinely different. You close deals and build residual income.
6–12
You are producing consistently. You hire your own replacement at SJMG and begin managing them, earning an override on their sales while continuing to run your own book of business.
12+
Transition to salaried Sales Leader — base salary, retained personal commission, team override, and performance bonus. Option to move into a leadership role at one of our sister companies.
